AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
An Award of Excellence is awarded to those entries, which are runners-up for Best of Category. Some categories do not always have a Best of Category winner, however, judges can still designate an Award of Excellence.
THE 10TH ANNUAL REGIONAL PRINT EXCELLENCE AWARDS COMPETITION. MORE EXCITING THAN EVER!
Los Angeles, CA – Janet Green, Public Relations Chair of PIASC, presented the Print Excellence Awards winners of the 10th Annual Regional Print Excellence Awards competition at the recent PIASC “And The Winners Are Celebration” at Tamayo Restaurant & Art Gallery in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Janet Green was happy to announce that there was a 53% increase in participation, which gave the judges a great challenge because of the overall “superior” quality of the entries submitted. Only the Best of Show, Best of Division, and Best of Category awards were presented at this event. A complete list of all winners is available at www.piasc.org/printexcellence/winners.
The evening began with over 170 guests visiting the exhibit that consisted of the Best of Category and Award of Excellence winning entries. During this time, guests had the opportunity to take part in “People’s Choice Award” by voting on the one piece that captured their attention.
After the reception, guests entered the main dining room for dinner, followed by the presentation of awards by Janet Green and assisted by Jack Stoughton, PIASC Executive Vice Chair.
Companies that participated could receive up to 6 different awards:
- Best of Show, awarded to the one most outstanding entry from the entire competition.
- Best of Division, awarded to one company within like-size printers.
- Best of Category, awarded to the most outstanding entry in each category.
- Award of Excellence, awarded to those entries which are runner-ups for each category.
- Certificate of Merit, awarded to those meritorious of recognition for their high level of quality in printing and design.
- People’s Choice Award, awarded to the one piece which was selected by industry peers and guests during awards celebration.
