File Preparation and Troubleshooting

How do I use the Enhanced Upload Engine?

Getting Started

The Enhanced Upload Engine requires Java. You can download the free Java software from www.java.com/getjava/.

Using the Upload Engine

  1.     You can add multiple files to upload by either dragging the files into the window or by clicking the Add button.
  2.     You MUST then click the Start Upload button for the files to be  transferred.
  3.     As files are successfully uploaded, a message will appear below the upload engine. Make sure that all files appear in this list. You can upload as many files as you like. Once you are finished uploading, your order is complete.

If the engine does not load correctly, use an alternative upload method. Links to our alternate upload methods appear at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: It is highly recommended to compile all your files (images, layout, fonts) in a folder and then compress it to either a ZIP (.zip) format or SIT (.sit) before uploading them to our FTP server.

What is the maximum file size that can be uploaded?

ColorFX does not enforce a specific file size limit. We recommend to reduce your file size by “zipping” or “stuffing” them.

Do you have an FTP site for uploads?

Uploading can be accomplished through our website after an order has been placed.

Once you’ve submitted your order online, you will be prompted to upload your files. This is Step 2 in our order placement procedure.

If  you have already placed an order and would like your graphic designer to upload the files instead, go to your My Space and select Step 2 (Upload Your Artwork). Choose the order # that you want to upload files for, copy the URL link of this page and email it to your designer.

NOTE: It is highly recommended to compile all your files (images, layout, fonts) in a folder and then compress it to either a ZIP (.zip) format or SIT (.sit) before uploading them to our FTP server.

How do I know if the correct file has been uploaded?

Once you’ve placed your order online and uploaded your file, you will see the name(s) of the files uploaded listed in the green field titled ‘Current Files’. You can always check your order history when you go to My Space and select Order History. You will see all the details of each order placed.
