File Preparation and Troubleshooting

Where do I upload my files?

Once you’ve submitted your order online, you will be prompted to upload your files. This is Step 2 in our order placement procedure.

If  you have already placed an order and would like your graphic designer to upload the files instead, go to your My Space and select Step 2 (Upload Your Artwork). Choose the order # that you want to upload files for, copy the URL link of this page and email it to your designer.

NOTE: It is highly recommended to compile all your files (images, layout, fonts) in a folder and then compress it to either a ZIP (.zip) format or SIT (.sit) before uploading them to our FTP server.

Can my graphic designer upload files for me?

Yes. Once you’ve placed your order online, go to your My Space and select Step 2 (Upload Your Artwork). Choose the order # that you want to upload files for, copy the URL link of this page and email it to your designer.

Can I upload my files before placing an order?

You can upload your file if you have a request for a custom quote. For all other standard orders, you need to place an order online before uploading your files.

What type of files do you accept?

  •     Export or save your files as PDF using the PRESS QUALITY or PDFx-1a preset from your layout program. Please make sure it includes a min. 0.125″ bleed, crop marks, Color mode CMYK.
  •     If you don’t have the option to save it as PDF, you can save/export your file as TIFF or JPEG format, 300 dpi (Photoshop)-with min. 0.125″ bleed, CMYK.
  •     If you can’t save your file as TIFF directly from the program that you created your file in, save your file as EPS then open your EPS file in Photoshop and save it as TIFF or JPEG format. Before saving your file as EPS, make sure all your fonts and placed images are linked correctly. All placed images should be 300dpi (high resolution). Convert all text/fonts to outline if you are using a vector application e.g. Corel Draw, Freehand and Adobe Illustrator.
