An Award of Excellence is awarded to those entries, which are runners-up for Best of Category. Some cat\u00adegories do not always have a Best of Category winner, however, judges can still designate an Award of Excellence.<\/p>\n

THE 10TH ANNUAL REGIONAL PRINT EXCELLENCE AWARDS COMPETITION. MORE EXCITING\u00a0THAN EVER!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Los Angeles, CA \u2013 Janet Green, Public Relations Chair of PIASC, presented the Print Excellence Awards\u00a0winners of the 10th Annual Regional Print Excellence Awards competition at the recent PIASC \u201cAnd The\u00a0Winners Are Celebration\u201d at Tamayo Restaurant & Art Gallery in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 24, 2014.\u00a0Janet Green was happy to announce that there was a 53% increase in participation, which gave the judges\u00a0a great challenge because of the overall \u201csuperior\u201d quality of the entries submitted. Only the Best of Show,\u00a0Best of Division, and Best of Category awards were presented at this event. A complete list of all winners is\u00a0available at www.piasc.org\/printexcellence\/winners.<\/p>\n

The evening began with over 170 guests visiting the exhibit that consisted of the Best of Category and\u00a0Award of Excellence winning entries. During this time, guests had the opportunity to take part in \u201cPeople\u2019s\u00a0Choice Award\u201d by voting on the one piece that captured their attention.<\/p>\n

After the reception, guests entered the main dining room for dinner, followed by the presentation of awards\u00a0by Janet Green and assisted by Jack Stoughton, PIASC Executive Vice Chair.<\/p>\n

Companies that participated could receive up to 6 different awards:<\/p>\n

Best of Show, awarded to the one most outstanding entry from the entire competition.<\/li>\n
Best of Division, awarded to one company within like-size printers.<\/li>\n
Best of Category, awarded to the most outstanding entry in each category.<\/li>\n
Award of Excellence, awarded to those entries which are runner-ups for each category.<\/li>\n
Certificate of Merit, awarded to those meritorious of recognition for their high level of quality in printing and design.<\/li>\n
People\u2019s Choice Award, awarded to the one piece which was selected by industry peers and guests during awards celebration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
